JOB SUMMARY: This position serves in the warehouse department with responsibility for handling all paperwork relevant to requisition orders and customer orders from the stores; coordinates with Warehouse Assistants with the moving of materials within the facility and from the loading platform by carrying, pushing, rolling or operating hand trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. Safely operates machinery in order to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting products; and ensures that all product orders are accurately filled and delivered to internal and external customers in a timely manner.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: This position reports to the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor and has no supervisory responsibility.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Ensures that merchandise is received and stored in an efficient and economical manner; maintains required records in conformance with company policy.
Reviews invoices, confirms reports and monitors the distribution of products in an effort to ensure inventory control.
Responsible for proper routing, loading and preparing orders for delivery in accordance with customer instructions.
Safeguards inventory assets of CTL; maintains the integrity of all transactions and maintains overall inventory accuracy.
Reviews and fill back orders; maintains back order file.
Reviews inventory moves and adjustments weekly; identifies issues and concerns for the management team.
Responsible for inventory control by coordinating and/or checking in product returns; updates inventory balances on hand. Ensures all practices and procedures comply with audit requirements and meet operational standards.
Maintains proper handling and safe storage of all materials within the Warehouse facility.
Ensures the timely and accurate completion of all customer and inventory transactions.
Ensures timely resolution to all customer concerns and complaints with regard to Warehouse and Customer Service.
Monitors and reviews all customer returns along with implementing necessary improvement initiatives
Follows safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment exists at all times. Must wear proper safety gear and adhere to all safety procedures and programs.
Maintains a clean, neat and orderly work area. Keeps all equipment in good working order. Supervise and schedule maintenance of company delivery vehicles.
Assists with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program. Ensures the appropriate use of warehouse equipment and follows up with contracted maintenance provider as necessary.
Attends all planned staff meetings as scheduled.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor and/or Senior Management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & KEY COMPETENCIES:

Knowledge of all commonly used warehouse and inventory control processes
Extensive plumbing and heating product knowledge
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Proficient skills in using computer-based systems such as EPICOR, MS Office Suite – MS Word & MS Excel,
Ability to conduct team meetings and prepare departmental reports
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments to ensure timely completion.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to explain and teach policies, procedures and CTL’s practices.
Ability to improve transportation cost-saving measures by using reports to analyze key cost drivers.
Ability to manage time effectively.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a citizen or legally permitted to work in the British Virgin Islands.
High School Diploma
Must have a valid BVI Driver’s License
Must be able to use material handling equipment
Must be flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of two years in Retail Warehouse Operations.
Certified Forklift Operator.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with inventory control and cycle counting.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise, and to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, stooping, climbing, lifting/handling material or equipment and other activities necessary to perform job duties
