Return Policy

  • All returns must be processed at the Customer Service Desk.
  • Returns require prior approval from the Store Manager.
  • Items purchased online may be returned to any CTL store location.

Items may be returned:

  • Within 5 days of the purchase date
  • With the original receipt and in original packaging including all accessories. No reprinting of receipts for Loyalty Customers is allowed
  • After 5 days (up to a maximum of 15 days), items may be eligible for exchange at the discretion of management. A 20% restocking fee will apply.

Credits to customers will be made:

  • Direct credit to the customer’s bank/credit card
  • Issued as a Gift Card
  • As Store Credit
  • In exchange for another item(s)
  • Credited to the Customer’s Active Account
  • Cash refunds up to $20.00 may be issued in cash or added to an existing gift card

Power Tools

Power tools must be inspected by the Tools Department Manager before return. If not faulty, a 20% restocking fee will be charged.

Non-Returnable Goods

The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Gift Cards
  • Batteries
  • Mixed paint/coatings
  • Electrical items (e.g., switches, fuses, breakers)
  • Gas powered outdoor equipment
  • Special-order items
  • Custom-cut items
  • Special price/Sale items
  • other exempted products

Returns due to Defect

If a product is found to be defective up to 30 days after purchase, CTL Home Center will contact the manufacturer on the customer’s behalf. The manufacturer is responsible for determining the amount of compensation in this instance.

Major Appliances giving Fault – Under 15 Days from Purchase

Telephone assistance will be provided to customers for appliance purchases within 15 days. A technician can inspect/repair the appliance,  if the product is found to be faulty and cannot be repaired, it can be returned. CTL Home Center will file a claim with the manufacturer on the customer’s behalf.

Faults Not Covered:

  • Accidental damage
  • Neglect i.e. lack of maintenance
  • Incorrect installation
  • Misuse

Loyalty Points

If you return merchandise that was purchased in whole or in part with one or more CTL Home Center Loyalty  points, the points may be forfeited at the discretion of management. 

We carefully monitor all returns for fraud and abuse, and we reserve the  right to limit returns or exchanges, regardless of your presentation of a valid receipt or  packing slip. CTL Home Center may limit or refuse returns, deactivate merchandise credits and gift  cards. This policy is subject to change at the discretion of the Management of CTL Home Center.

Lumber Yard Policy

  • No printing of duplicates receipts or invoices.
  • Lumber items will ONLY be delivered with the original receipt and a loading/pick ticket.
  • Lumber items will  NOT be split into separate deliveries or pick-ups. All purchased items have to leave the compound at the time of purchase.
  • CTL will charge a $5.00 per day storage fee for any purchased items that remain at CTL compound. NO EXCEPTON!
  • If advance or separate purchases are required, we advise purchasing a CTL Gift Card and give to your pick-up person to purchase your goods.
  • Any lumber items to be stored must be strapped together, properly labeled with customer’s name and invoice attached. The order would be placed on the top row of any shelving space.
